about Chris

Chris is a photographic artist focused on stories of the ocean and our impacts on it through in-depth, long-term projects. 

Chris began photographing the sea professionally more than 20 years ago. His photographic work is held in private collections and is published in magazines, books, and advertising. My clients include The New York Times, Patagonia, Ocean Realm, and others.

Chris has also worked in design and have been recognized by FastCompany as one of the “Most Creative People in Business” and with a technical Emmy.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Arizona and a Master’s degree in Communication from Cornell. 

Chris lives in the San Francisco bay area.
